Courses

Children’s choice therapy service provides a range of courses. Specific courses are available on request, and training can also be delivered in a whole school context.

Upcoming courses:

Understanding Sensory Processing. Friday 6th October 2017 10am–2pm: a training day for parents and carers

How does sensory work in the classroom. 10th November 2017 9am – 3pm: an introductory course for education staff, or other health professionals, understanding sensory processing, it’s impact on learning, and considering classroom based strategies (£140 including buffet lunch).

How does sensory work (2). 5th December 2017 9am – 3pm: for those who have already attended ‘How does sensory work in the classroom’ or similar courses, and want to understand more about behavioural or sensory based behaviours, and how to create programmes (£140 including buffet lunch).

DCD (Developmental Coordination Disorders) and Fine motor Skills. 17th January 2018: 9 – 3pm: a course for professionals and carers who work with children and young people with a diagnosis of DCD / fine motor difficulties that are impacting daily lives, looking at what DCD is and strategies for improving motor skills (£140 including buffet lunch).

 

Courses will be held at Children’s Choice Therapy and SI centre at:

Lancaster Park, Needwood, Staffordshire. DE13 9PD.
