Children’s choice therapy service provides a range of courses. Specific courses are available on request, and training can also be delivered in a whole school context.
Understanding Sensory Processing – for parents.
Weds 14th November 2018 10am–2pm: a training day for parents and carers
How does sensory work in the classroom. 9th November 2018 9am – 3pm: an introductory course for education staff, or other health professionals, understanding sensory processing, it’s impact on learning, and considering classroom based strategies (£150 including buffet lunch).
How does sensory work (2). 7th February 2019 9am – 3pm: for those who have already attended ‘How does sensory work in the classroom’ or similar courses, and want to understand more about sensory based behaviours, and how to create programmes (£150 including buffet lunch).
DCD (Developmental Coordination Disorders) and Fine motor Skills. 16th January 2019: 9 – 3pm: a course for professionals and carers who work with children and young people with a diagnosis of DCD / fine motor difficulties that are impacting daily lives, looking at what DCD is and strategies for improving motor skills (£150 including buffet lunch).
